I am about to put a poly 318 with attached 727 into a 64 D100 which had a 318 poly "w" factory 4 speed. BTW,.. The donar combo is out of a 65 fury. 1. Will the bellhousing rear mounts need to be removed from the rivets onto frame to make room for the bulkier 727.? The 727 will need a rear

my buddies d200 has been running without them
If you mean the spanners aren't installed
but the cut cross member "stubs" which are
integral to half of the spring perches are
still intact.... that is one thing. If you're
saying that your buddy is using the truck
with no support to the perches from those
stubs, that leaves only half of each perch
attached to the frame.... two rivets per
side. Maybe its just me..... but I wouldn't
recommend doing that.
