Once the media blasting starts, you might be surprised at what "opens up" There's a guy out in your area that is re-doing his '68 D200 and I think he's sunk about $1200+ into paint & materials and that is basically cost with no markup..... just sayin..... Stuff adds up really fast when you want a decent body/paint job. Save your coin... You'll need it when

In short, no. An adapter plate is necessary when switching from \6 to SB V8. Jeff Clare is a good source to tap for additional information. John

Re-read your first paragraph a couple of times. I'd do as Kaegi suggested. Paint the hood and keep the rest as it has been for 40+ years. John

QuoteRuss Roth Well worth the stop weren't they? Unfortunately that unforeseen little incident in Managua screwed up my smeller and affected my taste so much the RR doughnuts will never be the same. Still, a small price to pay in light of what the outcome could have been. Glad you enjoyed them and hope you are having a great trip! Yeah Russ... definitely worth the stop. They were fres

Norm, I wholeheartedly agree. We stopped by Paul's Power Wagon Museum this past Wednesday and were given the grand tour. It was impressive. Paul, Thanks again for showing Colleen & I your collection of vehicles and "supporting equipment". I also was also able to meet up with Scott Blaylock and Jeff Thomas. Three Sweptliners in one week's vacation.... not t

I just installed another one of the homemade 7808/7805 limiters in my '65 D100 last night. I took the truck for a spin and both the fuel and temperature gauges were swinging wildly. I popped in the limiter and everything works perfectly now. The regulators run about $1.80 each. John

Quotewideblock come 10 hours west and ill buy you a beer and some green chili enchiladas! It might be worth the trip for that billet aluminum "200" badge you have. Seriously though..... New Mexico is on our short list of states to visit and I guarantee you we will stop by when we're in your state. Possibly in the next couple years? John

Quoteoldmopar Having a problem with the gauge in my 69 I found this basic electronic do it your self idea. I have not tried it yet but it looks simple to build Gas gauge limiter This limiter is easy to make. I've made a couple thus far and will eventually put them on all of my Sweptlines. Some folks were using just a 7805 regulator but I chose to use the 7808 & 7805 per the drawi

QuoteSnapper MoparNorm, I hear you have valve covers? Norm sells the DTA headers for the A318 . Click on the DTA icon at the upper right of this page and read up. I have a set on one of my Polys. They're nice. A used Carter BBD can be had pretty easily. A decent Stromberg WW2 can as well. They're both good carbs. It is my opinion that the BBDs are a little less finicky.....

If the throttle body isn't leaking like a sieve on that carb sitting on your LA 318, throw a jiffy kit into it and install it on the Poly. The Stromberg WW2 was standard equipment on the Poly but a Carter BBD will work just fine. I run one on the A318 Poly in my '61 D200 and have had years of trouble-free driving. That LA360 will require a balanced hydraulic clutch flywheel

Norm, What is the current status of your W200? I know that you've had some set-backs in the recent past. What do you have done on it and what is still left to do? Just curious.... John

Quotejohn in england Thanks fellas So Gordo's one would be no good is that correct? John If your truck is a '69, the bulk head should be to the right of the brake master cylinder. This is different from the '68 & earlier wiring harnesses. The '69-'71 harnesses will be basically the same. John/Hobcobble

I have my '65 W200 Utiline ready for the road now..... just need to find the time to go to the DMV. This will make four Sweptlines road legal. I have a '61 cab that just received new VPW floor pans. I have to finish this cab up to install on my '61 D-to-W conversion project. I have all the donor parts rounded up and should wind up with a decent '61 W200 with an A
