This grill is driver quality, not bad but not perfect by any means. It has the usual wavy top. Could be straightened some, I guess. It is well worth the $25 but In my opinion it wouldn't be worth $25 plus $60 for shipping.

I might have a set of TS lenses but I will see what happens with the grill first. If someone buys the grill I'll give them first option on the parts that go with it.

My digital camera was an antique when I took any pics of my truck with that bumper on it, so I don't have any real clear pics. Here's another view that might be a little better. Right now, because of where the bumper is, it would be too much trouble to go get better pics of it.

Trey, these are off of a big block engine but may be the same for an LA. If someone can verify that any one of these is what you need You can have it , or all, for $5 plus shipping. The $5 is just for my trouble of packing and driving over to the Fedex office. If Trey can't use them and anyone local can you can have them if you come pick them up.

I'm cleaning up and got a few things I want to get out of the way. I have a DRIVER quality 68/69 grill and chrome front bumper. The brackets come with the bumper and I might have headlight rings and parking lights for the grill. The bumper needs chrome and it was welded in one place but not bad. The dark area in the pic is where it was welded. I don't want to deal with trying to ship ei

Mine had vacuum operated doors that selected which intake was being used. I think it was supposed to use underhood air until the engine reached operating temp and then switch to outside air. I never hooked them up so mine were open all of the time. If you want to eliminate underhood air completely make sure that the door in the outside air intake is permanetly open.

Jim, I had a dual snorkel air cleaner from a 360 van on my truck. One of the snorkels had a round connector for a fresh air duct while the other just had a normal flared end. Nothing originally connected to that end but there was a smaller round connector on the bottom of that snorkel that took in heated air from the exaust manifold. Could this be what you have? If so, nothing connects to the fla

I paid $300 for a tailgate panel ten years ago. It wasn't NOS but close to it. I doubt they have gotten any more plentiful or cheaper since then. Nice find, Trey. Your girl is a little doll.

Is it the front or rear that you are replacing? BTW, if one went out it's a good possibility that any others that are the same age and have the same mileage on them will also "puke" soon. I would strongly consider changing them all.

We had a great visit with Ben and Hobe Monday evening, too bad some of you local guys weren't able to stop by. Ben, I hope you will bring Hobe back this way sometime, I'm sure he still has some stories that we didn't have time to hear while you were here, LOL. Nice pictorial of your trip on Facebook, BTW. Glad you made it back home safely. Your truck is a beauty, even prett

It's got the factory emergency brake on the transmission, but Ben feels safer with the wheel chocked. I don't know why, have to ask Ben about that.

If it's an original HPP I wouldn't part it out. It will be worth restoring. Check the data plate and if several of the spaces have "special" stamped in them that's a good indication that it is genuine. There might also be a yellow sticker on the inside of the glovebox lid and a SERT sticker on the door post if it hasn't been removed. If it has torque rods on the rear

Ben and Hobe stopped by for the night last night and we had a great visit. They headed out this morning about eight after a visit to the local Waffle House. They will be stopping back this Monday afternoon for the night. I'm thinking it would be fun for any of the local guys who would like to meet Ben and Hobe, and see his beautiful truck to stop by. I'm sure that I can come up with som

Is it a plastic moulded type of hose? Pull-A-Part always has plenty of vans. You can probably find it there. If it's just straight hose your neighborhood auto parts store probably has it, or can get it.

Ben, I live in Lawrenceville which is just NE of Atlanta. You and your dad will be welcome to stay at my house when you pass through Atlanta on the 11th. I have plenty of room, and I'd love to see your truck, and meet your Dad. Tell him my coffee pot never goes dry. I'll even show you my non-Dodge truck that is currently apart getting the suspension rebuilt, disc brakes, and power stee

It's a good looking truck even if it's not a "Featherline". "The VIN matches the Dude package". That's an interesting statement also, since it's obviously not and never was a Dude. If it's as nice as it looks the price is good.

So under what conditions did they measure it to arrive at the 11%? why didn't they make it a 10 speed so it would have been 22% more efficient? I love the newer computer controlled engines and transmissions because they are smoother and more efficient. I just believe that in an automatic tranny, as in anything else, there is a point of deminished returns. In actual use I doubt the advantag

Check this article in the Allpar site if you haven't already seen it. It's mostly about the new Charger but mentions some interesting sounding transmissions. But do you really need an eight speed automatic? At what point do you reach the point of negative value, like cost to buy versus the benefits received.

That's a steal at that price. I spent almost twice that amount when I rebuilt mine ten years ago. Someone should jump on that deal, especially if you are close enough to pick it up and avoid shipping charges.

Gordo, That section between the wheel wells is just a little over four feet wide. An idea I had and thought would look good was to replace that section with oak boards and stainless strips. I would have stained the boards mahogany to match the interior of my truck and put a good coat of spar urethane varnish on them. I never did it because the steel floor was in very nice shape and I didn't

I sold it to my Brother in law who lives in LaFayette, Ga. It's in NW Ga about 150 miles from me. He's got a heated/cooled garage for it so it's got a nice new home. I visit him a couple of times a year so I will still get to see it and even drive it if I want to. I want a mid fifties truck but will wait until the right truck at the right price comes along. I'm mainly wantin

I hate to see it go but I've had it 13 years and just want a new toy. I want a mid fifties truck but after seeing what they bring on EBay and CL I'm not sure I want one bad enough to pay the price. I didn't get as much for mine as that green EBay truck brought a couple of weeks ago, but it was close.

It's been picked over pretty well but still giving up a few parts. It still has the /6 engine and 3-spd tranny, as well as the driveshaft and 355 rear. I got the bed steps for a fellow Sweptliner (Uteliner?) in Maryland. The bed is still in good shape on this truck, too bad that someone who needs a long Ute bed is not close enough to get it. When I'm in the junk yarding mood again I wil

Jim, It works on my 2001 PT Cruiser so I would think it should work on a 2001 van. On my older Mopars the MIL light would blink to indicate the problem code but according to my PT Cruiser FSM it's even easier. From the 2001 PT Cruiser FSM: OBTAINING DTC’S USING MIL LAMP (1) Cycle the ignition key On - Off - On - Off - On within 5 seconds. (2) The Odometer will show the P-code for th

The direction that this thread has taken is more meaningful to me now that it would have been a couple of days ago. I think the laws depend on who stops you, as they make up the rules on the spot. I just had my first episode with the code enforcement guys two days ago. I was driving a rented Penske 24 foot flatbed truck with a small forklift on it, heading to Alabama, and drove past a weighing st
