I keep seeing people bash the Chrysler Sebring. I don't think its any different than its Japanese counter parts. Oh the interior isn't stylish and the plastic is hard....so is the imports. I think the media has just conditioned people to think the imports are better.

The headers are brand new, they better not be warped. If they continue to give me an problems then back to the exhaust manifolds.

I put a set of fel-pro head gaskets on yesterday with high temp copper on both sides. The problem I see is the 2 middle exhaust ports could really use another bolt in the middle.

on Allpar.com they are saying Dodge will be trucks and muscle cars. Dodge Caravan will be dropped, but will continue as the Chrysler Town and Country. When I worked for Chrysler, usually when we heard rumors there was some truth behind it. Real Americans eat rice, they don't drive it.

My headers are leaking bad. I've got those copper gaskets, obviously they don't seal. I did some research and found that some people have used regular exhaust manifold gaskets. They look the same as far as shape, but are thicker. Anyone try this before?

When jounce happens on the axle, the rack is going to move up or down with the axle cause the steering column to turn. Now thinking about a slip joint in the column that may eliminate that if the slip joint is lubricated and doesn't bind.

Well son of gun, another one has done it...maybe it does work. I know I posted this on the old sweptline forum years ago and was told I would get bump steer. Maybe the slip joint eliminates that. Honestly if this does work, I would have rather had that than the prototech system I went with.

When the axle moves, the rack and pinion will move too. That is if I see this correctly, the rack in the picture is bolted to the axle. On a ifs Ram truck the rack is bolted to a cross member that does not move. No steering box on any vehicle moves with the jounce of the suspension. Its always firmly mounted. Thats why on every rack and pinion conversion kit it comes with a cross member that i

What about bump steer? I looked into this years ago and was told no, don't mount it to the axle because of bump steer.

How is it mounted? If it is mounted the axle I would think there would be a lot of bump steer.

From what I gather no one knows what the plan is yet. I have heard from allpar when Fiat arrived the discovered things are worse than they thought.

So the bumper was a kit you could buy? I remember truck campers were real popular back then, until they developed a reputation for being leakers and would rot. I've got 2 personally. I always thought truck campers were neat looking. I've got a 70 or 71 Arrow 8' truck camper and a 95 Shadow Cruiser pop up truck camper.

I'm curious about the rear bumper on that. Was that a kit? I remember my uncle had a rear step bumper that would slide out. Didn't know if he made it or it was kit.

I'm putting a clutch in a 4 banger Dakota and I've found a few different brands, one is Luk and the other is Autospecialty. Anyone have experience with either one? I can't seem to find out who makes Autospecialty, its either TRW or Kelsey-Hayes.

I've got over $25,000 in my swepty and its not road worthy yet, close but still needs alot of work for it to be complete. If it isn't NOS, then its stainless or chrome. Its cheaper than child support. Here is a video of it.

Take the glove boxes off Norm. The company I was getting them from started selling to the public so it was under cutting me. I still have the tool stowage decals. I thought those would sell, looks like those will go to the grave with me...ha ha. I seen what Scott was charging, more than what I was charging. this is where I was ordering them from www.remautoinc.com

To me an 1985 Dodge truck is really no different than a 1972 since they were pretty much the same truck with some changes over the years. I learned to drive in a 81 Dodge D250 so I always liked that body style. Still though, its a good truck with a lot of life left.

I know someone who has a 1985 Dodge truck, excellent condition and only 77,000. He wants to trade it in under the cash for clunkers program...noooooooo. Don't do that to a classic like that.
