My trailer, trailers very good. Hardly any sway that I've ever noticed. Right now it has Uniroyal Tiger Paws XTM 235/75R15 Extra Load tires on it. Its rated for 2183 pounds at 41 psi. I took it to Tennessee several years ago and picked up a sweptline and brought it home. These tires aren't made anymore so I was thinking of a Michelin LTX M/S, same rating as what I have now. The Chinese

The only American tire company that offers a trailer tire is Goodyear, some are made here, some in China and some in New Zealand. Cooper quit making trailer tires. Some people are using a Michelin XPS Rib, but those only go as small as a 16" rim, mine are 15"

I need tires for my car trailer and was curious to see what you guys have on yours. From the research I have done most ST trailer tires are made in China and blow out easily. Right now my trailer has car tires on it, which have done the job. I was thinking of replacing them with a LT235/75R15 Michelin LTX Extra Load range.

It has a flat head engine too. I would have thought it would have a slant six since those came out in 1961.

They look like the ones for my 70. I'm just curious how you get the arms out of your old ones and into these? Those things don't come out as far as I can tell.

Wow, those are expensive headers. They look chrome. I have a set of Hedmans on mine that are jet coated, they look chrome, but not as shiny as that.

Could it be that the headers are not chrome, but are jet coated? Jet coat looks really close to chrome. I may look into that also.

A Fifth Avenue is a tank of a car. I got rear ended in one about 3 years ago by a Chevy Astro van. Pretty good hit, all it did was twist the bumper. The car was extremely comfortable, sometimes too comfortable. I sometimes would fight sleep driving that thing.

That front end is identical if not the same as the original. I wonder if that is an original front end grafted onto a newer Jeep? I've always said, nostalgia sells. Now we need a Power Wagon that really looks like a Power Wagon.

Luckily we don't have to ours weighed here in Ohio but I'm sure they will find a new way to get more money out of us as the budget gets worse.

I have a Interstate in my Dakota that is 7 years old. It has been numerous other vehicles before and I have crashed it several times. Still holds up. They aren't cheap, but they are a good battery.

Ok I just discovered this truck is a 2 wheel drive. I thought it was a 4x4. To get a new truck that high you have to get a 4x4. Wished they made 2wds set that high.

I went with a crate motor. 360 cu in and 380 hp. Plenty of power for a swepty. The Magnum crate motor I got is no longer available but I believe they have those 5.7 Hemis in crate form now. The also make a LA 440 Super Commando engine now.

Its not mine, third time I've seen it on Ebay. I would really like to have it to match my plum crazy sweptline but since I'm laid off I can't buy it.

I have a Dodge truck book that shows clay mock up models of the sweptline being developed in the late 50s for the 1961 model year. The front of the roof was to be higher than what it is but it gave the appearance that the roof was about to be ripped off. I'll have to look for that book and scan the pictures in.
