Truck in question is a 66 Camper Special with the "close ratio" NP 435. Thinking about swapping it out with another that has the super low first gear. I know if I go this route and find one newer than 1967 it will have the 23 spline input shaft and will necessitate a new clutch disc. But

when i did my swap i went from a 3spd to the low gear 435. all behind a poly. i reused the 3spds flywheel, throw out bearing and pressure plate and just swapped the clutch disk for a 23 spline. just be sure you use the same diameter clutch disk and your all good. also, measure the area for the pilot bearing, i cant recall if i had to swap it or not.
