I have a 66 W300. The truck sat for a long time before coming back to life. The motor was running fine, but with a noisey lifter. Now it starts and idles but when you step on the gas it bogs, sometimes spits in the carb or the exhaust. New plugs points wires cap roter and adjustments are good. Oil

I believe the poly's in the heavier trucks used hydraulic lifters from what I have read.May concentrate on the carb. before you tear into lifters.Should be able to check for a collapsed hd lifter by checking each for noise w/ cv.covers off warm and idling.thumbs up
Just re-read your initial post that a lifter is noisy....maybe try some marvel in it and let it run far a while...might just be stuck from sitting so long.
