I had a blade on my fan just bend and tear up the radiator. Never seen that happen before. I've got plenty of clearance and the motor is tied down.

Using a magnyfing glass look at the point where the hub and blade meet. Look for rust on the outer edge(starting point) and go toward the center hub. At the hub the metal should be shiny, indicating a flexing over a long period ot time.( check the other blades also)
Thats why they made fan shrouds. Better to rear up a shroud/radiator than you neck or hands. Ferd had that problem and the person that it happened to is no longer with us.
