I had a blade on my fan just bend and tear up the radiator. Never seen that happen before. I've got plenty of clearance and the motor is tied down.

If it is metal fatigue then one would think that it would bend back easily. I spent a lot of years in the industry and never had that occur.
A buddy of my brothers was over the front of an engine revving it when ablade came off he lived with a big dent in his foerhead only to commit suicide a few years later. This was before I started my apprentiship and from then to this day I never rev an engine hanging over the front.
