I ask a simple question: "Looking at the back of the cluster it sure appears that the fuel gauge is connected directly to 12V. Where do u see that it is reduced to 5V?"
Let's see, maybe if you read this v - e - r - r - r - y........ s - l - o - w - w - w - w - w - l - y:
"My truck had an analog 5VDC regulator, many do, it is common to Mopars of all types for many years & models."
What that means is that my Dodge Sweptline era truck had a 5VDC voltage regulator, like the one described in this thread, installed on the instrument panel, to regulate voltage. That is where I see that it was reduced to 5VDC. Many Mopars have that same instrument panel voltage regulator. It regulates voltage to some gauges, on the instrument panel, in the dashboard, on the truck.
See if you can figure out from the original post of mine, that I did not specify an exact model or year of vehicle. You apparently think I did, but trust me, it isn't there, regardless of what you're seeing.
"Once again you are INCAPABLE of answering it and instead, turn it into an irrelevant diatribe.'
Irrelevant? My response is irrelevant? Please list which parts of my response were irrelevant to this thread or your questions/challenges.
I notice again you will not repond when I call your errors, like:
"Changing that out is not as easy and simple as you would have everyone believe. And in fact, even your posted link does NOT give instructions, but only states, quote: "With reg-in-gauge versions, you’ll have to fly blind".
"I said nothing whatsoever, not a word, about ease of conversion or anything being simple in my prior posts here, so I guess in addition to an obsession/compulson you may be suffering from delusional hallucinations? It isn't there, but you see it?"
Also:
"As usual Jimmie your post is incomplete and oversimplified."
Wrong. Links provide needed info.
Also:
"And in fact, even your posted link does NOT give instructions, but only states, quote: "With reg-in-gauge versions, you’ll have to fly blind". "
Wrong. One of the links gives step-by-step instructions on how to convert to IC voltage regulation, at the link, but apparently you were too busy looking for SOMETHING to make a negative comment about to read the actual text. The posted information from me, in this thread, has nothing whatsoever to do with 'reg-in-gauge versions', no relationship, not part of the subject. It's about 5VDC instrument panel voltage regulators.
Your contribution to this thread is to burn up more forum space and cram it full of whatever it is you're full of, similar to your threads: 'Sales Tax on Internet Purchases', 'How's the Weather?', 'Another Day at the Kenai River Alaska Cabin', 'Never a Dull Moment Spending my Luck", 'Candy Man' and 'Gun Control', speaking of irrelevant diatribes.
