I've always been easily confused by brake adjustment. That is, the adjusters themselves, not the procedure. I can never remember which direction the brake spoon tightens/loosens the adjuster from wheel to wheel. On my front '70 D-200 axle the spoon motion is 'Loosen up - Tighten down

Just to clarify, because in some applications there is a large shoe, small shoe bias, front to rear, the drum type brakes usually assemble as mirror images of each other, that is what causes the adjuster to turn in opposite directions, depending upon the side.
...now if I could just remember if the bigger shoe goes in front or in the rear...ha! ha!
