Just for the record, this is the first I have heard about, or considered, a warn/ban policy, so this is not an official DTA question.
I'm not sure I want the added work.
I am pretty sure that just thinking about what you are going to write
before you write it, would eliminate 90% of the problems here.
At the moment I haven't even felt the need to delete any posts in the few latest 'scuffles'. When posts get deleted it makes the following posts seem a bit odd (more odd???) and out of context and often deletes some really good information.
I will admit there are times I can see it coming and have thought about locking the thread BEFORE the anticipated barrage starts, and other times, I just read the post and think...
HUH? :S
Many strange or angry posts seem to be self correcting after a while and I remind you all that you have the ability to edit your own posts and remove offending language or INCORRECT theories/information that went in right and maybe came out wrong.
Last but not least, are the jokes that I find damn funny but insensitive. I try to delete those as soon as I find them (after copying them to my computer).
You KNOW who you are H, so don't even think about it, I don't have the time right now...
