We are having problems getting the hydraulic clutch to work on our '65 W200 with 383. The NP435 that was previously in the truck was very worn and we had a NP420 laying around in the garage so we decided to switch to the 420. I rebuilt the clutch master and slave cylinders and they are working

Rob, while laying under it, have someone actuate the clutch. Measure the total distance the rod travels out of the slave. I dont recall what the spec is. Also, that rod has to be adjusted so that it starts moving the clutch arm almost immediately at the begining of its travel. If there is too much gap, there wont be enough actuation of the clutch arm to release the clutch.
U still didnt say if u changed anything, or if it worked, before starting this project. Sorta like someone complaining their ass burns, but doesn't tell u they ate a whole jar of peppers...
