I modified the beat up original bumper that looks to be a dealer built type. Too sloppy original work compared to any mass produced bumpers. problaby all the 9 foot beds had to have cusotm bumpers made as they made so few.
I modified it so I could use the stock license plate location with the light and bracket that is built into the bed. And I created a middle step up as well. I like the fact that I can swing my tail gate all the way down. Then I neve have to load things onto the tail gate causing damage. Nest is to build a latch system for the gate. probably use cables instead of chains and then a center handle to open.
