Hi guys! Been working on a MTD garden tractor, fixing it up to cut the weeds here for fire season. Just a couple of things left to do until I discovered the polyethylene fuel tank is split down the side! I priced a replacement & with shipping they're like $50, NO WAY! Have any of you had a

Yeah, before the "repaired" tank splits and burns down the tractor and half of CA, buy the new tank and bill the landowner. : )

Hmmm....ya know, that's a pretty good idea! Fact is, I ordered a new one this evening, before reading here. The tank I was going to repair was far worse than I thought, rhymes with hopeless.
