Thanks, that's good for future info! I've tried it before on non-critical parts, not real impressed with the results. Posted here thinking maybe I was doing it wrong.

Seeing better how bad this one was, very hard & brittle, it would have been a major frustration later, like about 5 minutes of use later hah! Like you say, far better to do it right the first time.
