QuoteRuss Jimmie, my stating that Scott's forum has a certain feature is not comparison, it's a statement of fact. Take it as you wish, this is my last comment about it. If you don't visit Scott's forum you're missing out on some good Sweptline and Town Wagon conversations and pictures. Thanks, Russ, That clears up a few issues! I'm with George, Terry & ot

Rob, As the LA318 is balanced differently than the LA360, it is my understanding that, in order to use the hydraulic clutch A/LA318 flywheel on an LA360, you'll have to have it drilled to properly balance it with the engine. I'm not sure if there are any after- market flywheels out there that'll work for your application. You might try to post some questions on this topic t

Uh oh..... The LA360 is an externally balanced engine and requires a counter drilled/balanced flywheel or a counter weighted torque converter/flywheel . You might be in for a case of the "shudders". You'll need to rectify this. John

Education. I think this failure can be attributed to a poorly educated fan. Most likely this fan is a product of our public education system. If it were a wealthy liberal fan, it would likely have been privately schooled and wouldn't have failed. Sometimes, the answer is right in front of our faces. I'm not a fan of Liberals.... but wouldn't pass up a liberal fan.... John

Hi Mark! Long time.... no post. Hope all is well in MA. That looks like a medium duty [500-600 series?] Dodge with an altered length frame and a '81-'93 series box on it. I think it looks cool. Are you still working on your '69 Sweptline? John

The W100's were all equipped with DANA 44/60 8 lug axles through 1968. The '61 W's are relatively scarce. Does it still have the egg-crate grill on it? You should post up some pics. Good find! John

Rob, The bell housing will work. If the 318 is an A and is earlier than '61, there may be a difference in locator pins? That A745 3spd will work on either the A or LA318 provided the crank is drilled for the correct pilot shaft bushing. Go to www.hrclutch.com and get a new pressure plate, disc, throw out bearing and pilot bushing for the swap. If you try for clutch parts elsewhere, m

Put that cell in a zip-loc baggie the next time out. The mental image of you running along the shore, jumping rocks & tree-falls and hitting mud holes gave me a laugh. For any instant, knowing where you were and what was also where you were, did you feel like prey? That pistol would have fired.... just save the fifth shot for "you know who" in the event the first four don'

Ozzie, I put my W200 on the road with new RS5000's so I don't have anything to compare them to. I'm not sure of leaf count.... mine vs. yours either. My W200 has the large knuckle HD front axle and a lot of leafs at each corner. It rides "stiff"..... not too forgiving but that's probably a good thing actually. Gary & Steve, The front & rear D100
