Finished up rebuilding the Dana 60. Took a while to get parts and clean everything up but was able to install it today. With the 60 being from a Chevy, the leaf spring pad width was a 1/2 inch too narrow so I had to widen the holes on the pads to accomodate the leaf springs on the Dodge frame. Anyways, finished modifying the rear cross member to fit with the front output of the transfer case. Got

Put the Cummins and NV4500 in the frame yesterday hopefully for the last time for a while. Here are some pics: Waiting on the input housing and shaft coupler for the NP205 transfer case. Had another idea for the power steering unit:

Painted the frame this afternoon. It was a High Gloss Black from Imron. Turned out good for being an amateur painter. Rob

Yea that was a stupid mistake with the shackles. The bushing is in good shape but I will have to notch out the bracket when it needs replacement. The '89-'93 Dodges had the king pin 60 passenger drop (which I am looking for) while the 2nd Gen Dodges ('94-'02) had the balljoint 60 with coil springs that was a driver drop. Rob

Milled down the rocker pedestals to accomodate the ARP 2000 studs: Built brackets to mount the core support to: Finished boxing in and welding up the frame...Next is sandblasting and paint. Still looking for a kingpin Dana 60 for the front. Can't wait to get the Cummins fired up.

Finished up the rear cross member. I modified a cross member that I had that came on an automatic. Have minor things to finish up on it but other than that almost ready for sand blasting and painting. Steering: Found a power steering gear box from a '84 Chevy C30. Some of my buddies have used these on their rigs so I thought I'd give it a try. It will be mounted on the outsid

Thanks Norm for all your work. I have leared a lot about these trucks the past 7 years. It was right at 7 years ago with in a week or so when my Dad and I bought my W100 and began the restoration. Between the DTA photo albums and the people on this forum so many of my questions were answered. I was also nice to meet you a few years back at the California Power Wagon Rally. Hope all is going well

I'm running it in my '62 W100 daily driver. No problems with it other than its expensive. I dealt with the dot3 until it started peeling paint from the firewall. Repainted the firewall and switched to dot5. It still manages to leak out and crawl onto the firewall and collect dust but at least it doesn't peel paint. If you do decide to switch, blow out as much of the dot3 from the

Terry, I plan on boxing the frame from the front cross member all the way back to behind the transmission cross member and maybe even further. Will probably use some 1/4" or 5/16". Rear cross member will be something similar to this: Rob

I have access to an industrial motor mount for the front of the engine which would allow me to use the front cross member but to me it wouldn't seem to prevent "torquing" of the engine like the twin front mounts would. I am planning on adding an additional cross member in between the front motor mounts and the rear cross member at the rear of the transmission.

Been working on the crew cab recently. Picked up the running gear from a rolled '96 Dodge 2500 Cummins 4x4. Bought a gasket/seal kit from Cummins and went through the engine. After 250k miles you can still see the cross hatching in the cylinder walls. Also went through the NV4500 trans and NV241HD t-case and cleaned them up and added new seals. The engine has 60 lb exhaust springs for a exha

There are a few problems that still need to be addressed with the big block in the W200. One of my buddies put a 12 valve cummins in his m37 off road rig and another buddy just bought a 12 valve parts truck and is going to put the diesel in his '70 W300. I have always wanted to put a diesel in one of our old Power Wagons as well. With the '94-'98 12 valve cummins, you can easily ad

Was able to finally put some time into the crew cab this weekend and get it running again. I robbed some parts off of the motor to get my '65 D100 440 running but was able to get it all back and running this weekend. I swapped the military Michelins back on and got the rear bumper brackets finished and installed the bumper. Took a while to get it started because the timing was way off but it
