Hey Norm, As of right now, it looks like with a couple of borgeson joints should do the trick and possibly one support for the shaft. If need be, I'll shorten the column too. With power steering the possibilities are alot easier than with the old Armstrong Steering......... I will have to cut the inner fenderwells to clear the upper control arms for sure, then I'll make some thin rubb

Hi John, Yes on the utiline box, I have cherry one, so it's going to go on it, later on down the road I would still like to find a nice 6' sweptline to go on it. For now the utiline will be fine. I'm pretty happy with the way the 92 IFS fit the truck and really like the rake it put into the truck too. I was also suprised how the calipers even fit with the 4" slots on the fr

Thank's for the encouragement Ya, I know at the rate of speed my project 69 is going, It's going to be the fastest it will run at least until I finish my other two trucks, then I can get back to it.

Just put the cab on the frame to see how it fits and had to put my 4.5" bolt rotors and wheels on too to see how it will sit at ride height. There are a couple more pic's on my link below also.

Hey Guy's, It's been a while so how's everybody doing, I've been pretty busy with work and the Sweptline hasn't been getting much attention lately. I've been chasing a problem with my brothers 1986 Dodge Ramcharger and was wondering if any of you could give me some ideas? His truck had the dual pickup Electronic Spark control system in it originally. We disconn

I thought the starter locations were different between the /6 and the smallblocks???? even though the housing will bolt up, due to starter location it won't work. I know for a fact they are different on the 69-71 bellhousings. As far as I know, only in the 80's did Dodge produce a low mount starter for /6 tranny's, which could be used up against a smallblock. All other /6's

Terry, Were any of the last generation /6's externally balanced?????????? Just a thought, but maybe that's what the flywheel came off. Dodge put a ton of those 4-speed OD behind the /6's in the 80's trucks.

Yes, Terry is right, these are the ones I'm looking for. The ones Roberts has look real similar, I'll have to call him to get some measurements to make sure there right. Or I think as mentioned the newer 72-93 ones might be the same as well.

You guy's are making referrence to MP and stock 360 flywheels which are 130 tooth flywheels, 61-68 truck's have larger flywheels, so the balancing theory of drilling per those diagrams won't work. Why not just take the crank, balancer and flywheel to a balancing shop and have it done right. Then you have no issues of pounding rod and main bearings to death due to an improperly bal

Ron, John is right. The aftermarket/MP flywheels are only 130 tooth and won't work on a 61-68 style bellhousing. The only way you can correctly mate a 360 up to your drivetrain is to have the 61-68 flywheel counter drilled. Also, just as a side note your flywheel will work on any 61-68 V-8 (internally balanced) it is not 318 specific and just because it has a cast crank doesn't mean

If they all made a battery that lasted too long they would all go out of business I have heard the same about the optima's work like a RV deeep cycle battery and like Norm mentioned won't work well in an ordinary vehicle. One of the reasons I have been reluctant to buy one.

All LA smallblocks will fit for sure. That block is a 1980-1984 block which has a bellhousing brace mount 10" from the rear of block.

I have been using Interstate Batteries for a number of years now and they hold-up real well. I have been looking at them new Optima batteries and have seen quite a few in hotrods, etc., but there pretty pricey???

Figured something was up when the e-mails stopped. All the manufacturers are getting way too high tech with vehicles today. As mentioned the automotive designs are going fashion/life-style instead of useful. Just as an example, my dad bought a 09 GMC 1500 4x4 and it has this stupid goofy keel like plastic satellite antenna on the left side roof and to top it off you can't buy a GM truck w

I think whoever was responsible for the design at Chrysler, they were going for the massive forward look and they also incorporate nice straight lines to give the truck a distictive look. Just look how all the brand X's followed suit with trying to keep nice straight flowing lines on the trucks and did away the rounded shapes and fat fender look of the 50's and 40's. Who care'

Mopar ATF is a lot thinner or a lighter weight fluid than Brand X fluids and makes a world of difference due to the fact that all your clearances in your tranny are designed for that type of fluid. As mentioned or if your a do-it-yourselfer and your tranny fluid isn't burnt and has a nice red color to it, there is no reason to flush it completely, just drop the pan, change the filter and fil

Ya, but a Red Express had a bumper and I'm pretty sure my old express bed never had a plate light in the center like the old ones did. Even my 80's bed doesn't have one. What year is your bed?

Just make damn sure the shop that so-called flushes it doesn't use a recycle machine and as mentioned uses Mopar fluid, the biggest killer to the newer tranny's and more so the convertor is using brand X tranny fluid.

The last year for AD100's, D100's and AW 100's, W100's was 1984, but I have heard there were some D100's made for 1985, which were probably mid year trucks.....
