I am ordering the set for hydraulic. The year model is 68 downward.I will send it back if it is for mechanical clutch. Book says it fits 64, 65, 66,67, 68, etc. I was relying on that? I shall bring my old pressure plate to the counter for comparison before I accept it. Thanks for the alert. Gordo

Quotetxas2step Gordo, the 10/23 spline are different sizes and don't interchange. 10 is hydro.,23 mechanical. Chris. (HRClutch has everything you need if you don't have a good re-builder local.) Hey Chris, It seems to me 11" clutch disk when rebuilt will work properly with the 11" pressure plate kit which comes together with a 23 spline, new release bearing etc. Then all

QuotePwrWgnDrvr On 100-300 models, 10 spline 61-68, 23 spline 69-71. 400 and up are 10 spline, but larger dia. I reckon that is correct and how Dodge intended for aftermarket. Problem is,... the books at autozone, O'reilly, napa, advance, 9to9, rock auto, summit, jegs, and several others all say 23 spline on their computers even on 66 etc.. Pleased to know actual Dodge changeover d

Good thought Steve,. What I may do is purchase the 23 spline full kit and substitute my rebuilt 10 spline. Then I sell my brand new 23 spline as disc only. First, I shall shop around the other referrals given on Monday. Gordo Other,..... (To all,) I believe the D400 is a 12 inch. G

Thanks fellas, I will follow up on these leads. I recall that heavy duty clutches were available as extra cost options on many vehicles when ordered from the factory. I wonder if 23 spline were standard, with 10 spline as heavy duty? Perhaps 10 splines were used on D400's or D500's? Gordo

My 68 D300 needs a 11 inch clutch kit 10 spline. The book shows only 23 spline at all auto part stores. What supplier can mix or match a new one for me? Gordo Yes I read the thread on the other site.

QuotePwrWgnDrvr No different for modern vehicles either. Can't buy all the parts for a 2016 vehicle unassembled for less than the whole vehicle from the dealer. You're also disregarding the significant time to disassemble a truck, stockpile the parts, dispose of the junk, pack and ship the parts, the cost to BUY THE DAMN TRUCK TO START WITH and haul it home. Then wait 10 or more yrs

That is mighty fine of all, that's for sure. The websites that either sell, market, or advertise produce a modest income. 60 DAYS SOUNDS AWFUL GOOD. GORDO

I am not sure if phil is part owner of this forum or if he is compensated. I am of the opinion that for many years he has perhaps done his magic as a friend of Norm and then, the members. For sure we are all grateful. I think just cancellation after a time period makes it the same as the competition. Better than nothing. I realize my text is sometimes dubious as it probably was in th

I think the Buy Sell ad forum could be a increase traffic gitter. This forum runs smooth (thanks Phil) so lets bring it!! Currently buy sell has many outdated ads, many of which are sold or no longer available. I have several ideas yet there is one that is worthy of consideration or discard as "bad idea" A forum member sends an ad in on special template provided by Phil a

Thanks for your input Walt, always very much appreciated. Prior to posting I had resolved that I was going to need to change transmission and rear axle ratios. I was/am considering various combos. The reason I specified in my post "Highway empty" was,I had already resolved that towing, hauling would need a different power band. I had already spent some time with optional

I have to change things up on my D300. I have a low geared option rear axle ratio of 5.87. I have looked into many affordable conversions to choose from. So to my resolve for now I ask your opinion on RPM's Highway. QUESTION: Asking your opinion for an ideal RPM using a 360 cu. in. at 70 empty

Steve, were you referring to 6 lug in your post? BTW, My research shows that the 8 lug was standard in 1968. The 6 lug in 1968 could be ordered as an option. Thanks, Gordo

I posed a similar question before. In that post I failed to mention they were,... {-6 lug by 7-1/4-). I have tried to find interchange to no avail. I could have some made for "too" large "retirement dollars" Not..!! I have sought to find 60's Ford, International. No luck as they are split rim also. Leastways that is what tire shop interchange says? I would
