Yes I did Norm.!! He called me back and we had a good chat. Whether he is hooked up to post or not, I am not sure. I thought perhaps he might have posted by now. In any event he is doing well. I think that John has good days and some bad ones too. He has back pain, I doubt it is better than it was. He doesn't complain. He still has plenty of humor as always. Gordo

I talked to him a couple weeks ago. He sounded healthy. That is except for his ongoing health. I think his back has been a ongoing problem. He did mention he was not active on the forum at thia time. I'll call him again this next weekend and make sure. Gordo

I have a 66 shorty that has a slant 6 "w" 727. It has a bunch of slack in driveline. when it hits reverse it is a major jarring sensation. Universals are in good shape motor mounts are fine. I am about to pull out the pumkin. Ya think I may be missing something in diagnosis and it not be the spider cage? Gordo
