Hi there, Yep, Terry has it right. I had a vibration in the tranny on my crewcab. Even though it was not noticable on soft driving, I just had to fix it. It sold on ebay and the driver was taking a 9 day cross country trip with it. Terry asked me to let him know which culprit the noise was. I changed out tranny with another 71 W200. No help.!! Just to shorten this story a bunch. It was

If that was the final word from the man,.. then this not be of any significance. I noticed that this new board functions similar to the slant six forum. Look at their forum (imagine simplified) add Truck of the week, announcements, DTA Forum, and For Sale etc, your DTA forum will not be all over the place. It will appear much cleaner than others. In fact I like the idea. It also coul

I had a Kodiac bear stand up on his hind legs and tell me to leave the garbage dump up in Kodiac one year. He meant, as in now.!! After earlier bear comments I went surfing the internet to get my own nostalgic picture again. They are huge. This guy was "king of the hill".! LOL I did 60 mph in 44 strides and made it to safety. When I got back home I told my friends a

My 71 crewcab holds 20 plus. I do not have a sert that show that as an option. Standard tank? I don't know for sure. I get 15 mpg with a 318 two barrel on a long trip which I think is phenomonal. A slant six will likely get somewhat less due to the weight factor. I have 19.5 wheels and 4-10;s as rear ratio which I think is near perfect for a 318 and that weight combo. Gordo

Phil-Norm -Others, What is the differance between my new post alerts? EXAMPLE:,.. When Fred posted his interest on my D300, it came to the top of the list. This morning when I turned on the forum page I showed the truck of the week in blue highlights due to the new post of the TOW's owner. It was halfway down page. I liked that. First time I have noted the blue as being "new"

Hi Fred, You are welcome that's for certain. I have one person on the fenders, and he promissed to let me know this coming monday... If He says no, then a 200.00 parts truck is back on.!! He has been checking shipping for several days. I found a shipper for 2,000 miles for two large fenders and right running board for 194.00.+ or - a few bucks on final measurement. BTW,.. This is a Sata Jet professional spray gun, the Cadillac of professional paint guns. This is a Sata Jet NR 2000 HVLP with a 1.3 tip and 1 liter cup. ...HVLP stands for High Volume Low Pressure which makes this an excellent multi purpose spray gun. I bought this gun from a good friend, a professional painter a few years back as he then owned several. I had him paint a classic truck for me with this

You mean with the IRS? That is a true story they recently went back to 1994 and found they should levy and lein me. I can still sell parts and non registered Cars and part cars. That helps.!! I am selling a lot of stuff in order to git rid of those guys. JimmieD just so ya know ya "gave me a reason" LOL to tell this and let people know I am selling most of my inventory. Most

QuoteJimmieD My opinion: GMC made some fairly decent trucks up to about '72, then the bottom fell out. I had a '54 Chevy 3/4 ton, 5 window, long bed, 292 industrial 6, 4 speed, posi rear, one of the best trucks I've ever owned. Dad had a 60's Chevy 1/2 ton pickup, V6 4 speed, one of the worst trucks he ever owned, no power, horrid mileage. My primary gripe with Chevy

Yes, and that was the 230 straight 6, A darn good engine for Chevrolet and GMC. The V/6 however was excusive to GMC. BTW, the 230 cu. in. got much better milage than the V/6 with a lot less torque. Similar in horsepower though. Gordo

The V/6 is tourquey but really tough on gas. They are a Chevrolet otherwise. The exception being the Chevrolet came with coil rear sprimgs standard. The GMC was leaf rear. Gordo

I would be willing to get the frame cut at the immediate rear of cab and pull the front axle off. Cost for getting cutting would be net to purchase. (not much) 50.00 estimated (+ or -) No charge for axle removal. With that done it would be ready for shipper and or easy haul on car trailer.!!! I can lift it for free onto your trailer. Gordo

Chrysler is certainly undergoing a surgery. A lobotomy. What JimmieD said is true when power is balanced. It is much worse when you have folks that have the same design on socialism. It is nearly outa control. I never thought that so much damage to free enterprise could be under way in 100 days. It is incredible what negative spiritual powers can get moving. Gordo National pra

Click this for more pictures I added some pictures of the D300 emblems. They are the bottom two last entered. They should clean up to be a 10. I wiped them with my finger and they do not have any barnicles, or certainly minimal. I did not clean or polish. E mail me if you have further interest.
