Hope somebody knows the answer to this. Ive got a 67 D100 with a /6 - 727 combo. Ive got a 64 D100 with a poly - 727 combo. Will the 67 /6 bolt directly to the 727 in the 64? I would prefer to swap the engines only and leave the trannies where they are, since one is a 2 cable and the other a single

Starters changed in '67 on most trucks for change from Poly A engines to LA small blocks.

That's most, but some trucks like mine, built in '67 & equipped from factory with a Poly, had the old style starter. Some big industrial trucks did too, even after the change in '67 model year.
