I have a 65 D100 and it has a bad alternator. The only alternators I have left are 2 plug ins, as in 70 D100 . (my 65 is the one wire plug in) Is the 2 plug style an ez change over,? Mechanically it lines up and fits fine. I even have a couple of the regulators from a 1970 style triangular VR Gordo

Here's the procedure, as explained by "Beemrmax" in that Best Of
thread.
To put a squareback back in, all you need to do is run a short wire from the Ground termninal to the nearest alternator thru-bolt, and voila... you're done. Wish the idiot who had put it in originally knew that... he murdered the harness trying to figure it out ;-(
