Has anyone ever tried to polish the alum. grill?? Mine, like most, has the coating wearing off. I just wonder if some steel wool, fine sanding paper, or? plus lots of time and patience, could polish the grill to look like chrome??? Thoughts??? Thanks R

I've never been that ambitious (and actually I prefer the painted grills),
but I've polished the aluminum side-spears on my Polara with metal polish, and then waxed them. That worked pretty well for a while.
If you want it real shiny, maybe you could fond someone to plate it?
