Has anyone ever tried to polish the alum. grill?? Mine, like most, has the coating wearing off. I just wonder if some steel wool, fine sanding paper, or? plus lots of time and patience, could polish the grill to look like chrome??? Thoughts??? Thanks R

I've done exactly what your doing and as mentioned you have to keep it waxed really good after you get to where you want it, or it will oxidize.
I used a polishing kit from Harbor Garbage....come with all the little buffing wheels and compounds, works really good and inexpensive.
