ok, so georges comment about masking an underlying problem has been ringing in the back of my head and wont go away. i have been running without the a/c since the issues started, and as of late, its been hot, but the car has been behaving for the most part. still runs hotter then it did before, and

i did not buy the radiator. when i ran into work at 68 degrees outside, and it ran hotter then it did last month when the temp was 90 outside, then it pretty much told me i was barking up the wrong tree with the radiator being an issue. i got the car back in january, up untill the beginning of july it has run awsome, never saw over 180 on the gauge with the a/c on. now i hit 220 on a 10 mile run into work. the under hood area is stock, i havent added anything that would restrict air flow. i had that problem on my vega with a 454, a cowl inducted hood solved my issues there. the gauge i have is the factory C-H dash gauge and i have an autometer mechanical one hanging under the dash. facotry gauge reads from the head, aftermarket from the intake runner under the t-stat housing. both are showing hot.

this all happened rather sudden, i blamed it on weather. but, my plast into work early took high temps out of the equasion. its got to be a blocked port, or bad gasket. everything else checks out great.
