soon as i get back from houston the water pump is coming off and getting torn apart for a good look. i too had thought of "what if" the impeller on this rebuild didnt get pressed on right. like butch said loose when hot, or i was thinking too it may be that sometimes its loose and not pumping untill it gets in a bind and pumps for a while. it would expalin why some days it acts as if it doesnt have any issues and some days it has a lot of issues.

the flow test on the radiator was done at a shop , it checked out great. water pump flow was the eye ball test..lol "looks good to me vern!" lmao..

the more i over analyze everything the more i dont think its not a gasket or crack. im not loosing any water, there is nothing showing up in the oil, no residue on the tail pipe, and the coolant is the proper color with no bubbles or anything. im still gonna have the coolant tested for exhaust gas's, just for my own piece of mind. if it shows a problem ill go from there, if not then ill be all over the pump. may even change it just for G.P. its a chevy, they only cost 20 bucks..lolol
