ok, so georges comment about masking an underlying problem has been ringing in the back of my head and wont go away. i have been running without the a/c since the issues started, and as of late, its been hot, but the car has been behaving for the most part. still runs hotter then it did before, and

short of dismantleing the water pump to check the impeller i have checked everything new to be sure its still right. the pump flows well, so i figured taking it apart wasnt needed. the clutch for the fan does as it should, radiator cap tests well, radiator flows well, mixture is correct, hoses are good, belts are good, pully is the proper size, t-stat works properly, everything i could think of has been tested regaurdless of age.
