I am about to put a poly 318 with attached 727 into a 64 D100 which had a 318 poly "w" factory 4 speed. BTW,.. The donar combo is out of a 65 fury. 1. Will the bellhousing rear mounts need to be removed from the rivets onto frame to make room for the bulkier 727.? The 727 will need a rear

you will need the proper rear crossmember, cut out the current 4spd mounts and replace with factory braces, and a different driveshaft.
autos had a crossmember out back at the tail shaft that bolted to the frame (holes should already be there) and the bell mounts were cut off and replaced with a set of angle iron braces made to clear the 727 pan that bolted into the left over pieces of the bell mounts. the auto trucks also had a one piece drive shaft.
i can try and get you pics of the one i got here. when i get home before dark..lol
or send a truck with 500 bucks and you can have everything you will need including an auto dash, a 413 and a new 727
