that looks nothing like the spanners on mine. all mine have been 2 angle iron (bent the same as yours) pieces that bolted to the outside of the factory brace after it was torched off. the hole locations are the same, but the spanners were not near as beefy as that one piece unit you have. as a matter of fact, on the 66 i am only using one, closest to the rear because the over sized trans pan wouldn't clear the front one. i wouldn't have that luxury on that style. where did that come from john?? never seen one like that.
one more note gordo, you don't need that cross member the bell bolts to. you could just shave the rivets and eliminate it all together. the trans cross member alone would be more then adequate. my 70 only has the one at the tail shaft from the factory.
