I had Detroit Muscle Technologies making them at one time. I got the first ones for mine. Uses push pins.

I hate to say this, but the engine needs to come out and rebuilt. When the timing chain falls into the pan and gets sucked up into the oil pump, something is getting starved for oil. You're already half way there. Same thing happened on my dad's 318 back in the early 80s with only 50,000 miles. Thats why I wasn't a big fan on 318s. They are harder on timing chains. I know yours is

Going back in time here but Dad had a 73 Dodge truck that was called a camper 9000. The 9000 stood for 9000 lbs gvw. It was a 360. I know we hauled a very heavy 10 slide in camper and he also used it to tow a trailer loaded with industrial garbage containers, which were very heavy. I know there are differences between what I have and what he had. My 360 makes more power, bigger radiator, frame

I'm surprised about the steering box brace, as soon as I put it on mine, day and night difference. It handled great. The thing thats nice about the other track bar is no ball joint to wear out on the end. I'm not sure why Chrysler did that. I think thats the only track bar known to man to have a ball joint on the end. Also it makes centering up the front axle nice too. I'm still a

Fix the track bar problem with this. Originally the idea started with me that I gave to a guy in Canada and I guess he didn't patent it and BD diesel copied it. Anyrate, that will fix the problem permanently. Also put a steering box brace on. You will notice the difference. Lower ball joints where non greasable, lasted about 50,000 miles. The over priced unitized non greasabl

My take was on the situation was I spent that kind of money on that truck, they could have given me a reliable front end and fuel system. Cummins knew about the problem and has yet to resolve it. No one should have to re-engineer their truck.

The 24v diesel was a nightmare. The old tried and true 360 has been good to me. Now if it would have been a 12 valve, I would have kept it. 8800 lbs max trailer, right on the hitch.

I never tow with the overdrive on. I've pulled open car trailers with it, never had an issue. I've never pulled an enclosed before.

If I still had my Cummins I wouldn't be worried. It was a 2500 also but a 4x4. You could not overload that thing. However the maintanance costs, cost of diesel fuel being higher & unreliability I sent that thing down the road.

I remember being 16 years old when that thing appeared on the cover of Truckin Magazine. I still have the magazine here somewhere.

Been thinking about one and was curious of what brand people recommend, lengths and do I have enough truck to do it? I have a 98 Ram 2500 with a 360 v8 auto.

Make sure you tab the killer dowel pin in the gear drive. They've been known to fall out and destroy an engine.

Do the body work, paint it....do not get into a frame off restoration. A couple of weeks in the body shop and it will look good enough for street use.

Kyle Youngblood knew of a guy in Wisconsin that could rebuild your existing harness. Had mine done for my 70 a few years ago.

Thanks. No I had quit carrying them when they started popping up on ebay cheaper than I was paying for them. I think Scott carries them over on the other forum. I think he is getting them from the same place I was. I still have some radiator seals and tool stowage decals though.

I hooked it up to the red wire on the red/orange combo, so I assume. I'm good.

1970 Dodge D100. Which wire do I tap at the resistor for the wire running back to the ecu. All the instructions I have read says blue, there is no blue. All I see is 2 reds, a pink and a orange.
