Red wire from #19 feeds power to the ballast resistor from the ign switch.
Yep...
What I'm trying to do now is identify the orange wire that is
"paired" with the red ignition wire. Both the red and orange
wires run to a the female [factory] plug on the ignition side
of the ballast resistor. The orange wire is the one not shown
in the wiring diagram for '70 or '71 from the Sweptline.com
archive. This is the wire I'm needing to confirm as going to
one of the alternator field terminals.
Additionally, these diagrams show the reverse light switch for a
manual tranny. I have an automatic tranny and the "third"
[dk green] wire runs to the starter relay. This is not shown
in the diagram I have been referring to. Before I buy a copy
of the '70/'71 FSM from Bishko.... can someone confirm that it
does picture these wires?
