The multiple sections was one option to accomplish that.

Thanks Norm, I thought I'd put the extra forum out there to gauge interest. I appreciate all those who have taken the poll and posted comments.

Some points:

1. The new indicator will display on any forum if there are new unread messages and if you are viewing the Forum List home page. This is the quickest way to check for any unread messages.

2. The Forum List link is available from any forum on the left edge of the menu bar.

3. The Message List link will display the list of messages for the forum that you are currently reading. I may be able to squeeze in another link that will take you directly to the Sweptline Forum Message List, thereby saving one click if, for example, you are reading the Buy/Sell forum and want to go directly to the Sweptline Forum Message List without going to the Forum List home page first.

My opinion:
After using this for awhile I personally like the separate Buy/Sell forum. That's a change in opinion for me, see my earlier comments in the Sticky Thread - Forum Problems/Suggestions, and in fact I voted against it in the poll.
