For those that are interested in the fine points & minor details of the Chrysler Engineering designs I'll provide more info here to explain the reason for the surge coil found in hydraulic clutch lines on Dodge trucks. I'm always surprised at the amazing depth of Chrysler engineering

Surge coil is a colloquial name for the bend structure designed to eliminate fluid shockwaves.

Hammer was mentioned at some of the other links I posted to the Clutch spring thread that was locked.

Aeration is mentioned in the various links also.

The exact words as hammer, aeration or surge coil may not be found but the correct engineering terms from which those grew are amply given in the references.

It's not my theory at all, and from the links, it's not fallacious but solid mechanical fact. This assumes that someone will then think outside of the box to see the bigger picture, but of course some may not wish to do so.

I gave a fairly well detailed explanation in as brief a form as I could manage. It's unreasonable to request the entire body of Fluid Mechanics Engineering necessary to spell out every detail, there isn't that much available bandwidth.

If you read the information at the links it reveals the science of it. This was posted so folks can read & view & come to their own understanding & opinion.
