George, i am not quite ready to sell it but i would be happy to make a copy for you if you're willing to pay the copy costs. the book is about two inches thick and the TSB's are tabbed with headings such as Axles, Brakes, Cabs and Bodies, Frames and Bumpers, Electrical, Suspension, Engines, and many more. the earliest date i could find was 12/5/1962 and latest date i could find wa

i had similar problems with my fresh 440 in my build. on butches advice i put in a 195 with a 3/16 hole and in reading a recent HotRod magazine article on cooling systems in put in a higher pressure cap. problem solved for me and i attribute it directly to the cap. i'll see if i can back up that statement with an article... i'd rather help a brother out and give hm a couple extra bucks than send it direct to the company... either way the company is getting my money and if it helps a sweptline brother out then that has to be a good thing. contact Scott - he's a good guy to deal with - he helped me immensely by being the first leg of a Sweptline Railroad delivery of a hood i bought from Jeff. i think you can simply push it in from the front... i have yet to install mine but that's what i'm going to try (after i tape the edge of the dash to protect the paint). Ben

while it is annoying to see spelling errors and poor math many of us come to the sweptline forums simply to relax, let our guard down and be accepted by our peers who happen to share our mutual interests. i apologize if i came across as harsh but felt it needed to be said. Ben

just offering a counter point... my first car was a 1969 Dodge Charger with a 225 slant and 3 on the tree. my second car was a 1961 Willy's Jeep Dispatcher (basically a mail truck with left hand drive). i learned how to drive on my parent's D100 that i am now restoring. i didn't buy the mustangs until i was in my 20's. i had a 85 GT first and then later bought a 85 LX 5.

i share your view on most of the above post with the exception of the 80s iron. Dodge made some neat stuff such as the GLH Omni and shelby dakotas, i have owned a couple mid 80's mustang 5.0 (one was a special service FHP mustang). some of the Camaros were no slouches, and not to mention the highly sought after late 80s Buick GNX - just to name a few. these were the cars that in many ways

i solved my heating problem with a higher pressure cap and a 1/8 inch hole in the thermostat. had a 8 lb cap now running a 13 with a 195 stat. it would over heat at idle... very strange. not a problem anymore.

has the appearances to have numbers for a CSS but it is not a HPP. console is not stock and seats look to have been recovered at some point. Ben

Terry - you may be confusing Dan with Terry Winkler. terry winkler now has four HPP equipped trucks (two of which are CSS with one of them being partly owned by his twin). Ben

176. Re: FWIW
for what it's worth on some of the HPP trucks the transmission and engine were painted with the turquoise engine paint. i know they are two wheelers but some of the decisions would have to be similar... also note that one of the HPP's had the rear axle pig painted the turquoise engine color... Ben

i use the NAPA here in Gainesville for almost all of my parts needs and i have had nothing but good luck with them. the guys will bend over backwards to find the parts i need or will shoot me straight when i have a problem. i have also learned a long time ago to take off the part to be replaced and bring it with me to use as a sample. it has saved me and the counter guys tons of grief and retu

the problem isn't so much the disc getting away from you but when the disc decides to let go or breaks apart it can be quite dramatic and little pieces of metal go flying everywhere. what many people don't share on the web or in the DIY articles is while the disc is purported to be a shortcut i have found with my parts pile there are no short cuts in body work. find out the best prac

they are tricky to use and in the wrong hands can be very dangerous. you can use a propane torch and a blast of air from your compressor to get somewhat predictable results. you can check your work with a wide felt tip marker and either a flat file or a long sanding board with 80 grit. read this page for hammer/dolly tips: if you must use a disc then this guy gives some good info
