give him 30 days and then do what you will with it. he probably already wrote it off. my dad had a guy leave a 69 dart with a 340 stick shift in his yard. guy just disappeared. the city came down on my dad for yard ornaments so we tried to contact this guy for 30 days. but after sitting in the yard for 3 YEARS we finally gave up and parted it and sold the shell. the shell now is back together

Hello all, it is almost that time - we'll be gearing up to drive the 64 HPP to the Mopar Nationals in Columbus OH in August. i will have my dad in tow and this should make for a fun road trip for both us. if possible it would be nice to try to see some members on our trip and - at the show! be prepared, my dad loves him some coffee and, even more than that, likes to share all his s

thanks - your truck is sooo nice as well! i was considering a cable in place of the chains but felt it would throw the "vibe" of my truck off if i went that route. keep up the good work!

looks good. i used heat-shrink electrical tube on my truck. it is not perfect but it is functional. my brother made the hook out of nuclear grade stainless steel rod (don't ask how he got it or why it is called that - i have no idea but he works at a nuke power plant). Ben

Ron, yes, i have been driving the truck. it has a tick or two over 1900 miles on it since i put a tag on it in December. i drove it to my parents this past weekend and got the AC hooked up in it! so nice to have AC in a black truck on a hot, humid day. here's a link to pics: # Bugs: i have a bad flat spot on tip-in. i think i have a vacuum leak or a bad carb. i am pulling 10.5 M

Who's planning on going? if all goes as planned i'll be driving the '64 HPP to the show this year. i may have convinced Terry Winkler to bring one of his HPP's to the show... unless he gets the Maverick Racecar done in time to share it. i'm looking for a nice, comfortable place for my dad to be able to relax during the down times. it would be nice to get something clos

thanks for the suggestions Trey. i am eyeballing a low profile box but i really don't like the look of the diamond plate... we had it on a horse trailer and it was used all over the place. i guess i am sick of looking it now and i am sure glad to be rid of that horse trailer. we have a 4star now... not an ounce i diamond plate on it! anyway - i really want a steel box for my steel truc

hello all. i am in search of an interesting box to place in the bed of my truck to store stuff. i don't like the look of aluminum diamond plate and in my search found a plain steel one at Home Depot. the only thing is that just does feel "right" to buy something new for the old girl - plus - the price is eye popping. anyone have any suggestions? any one have an old we

114. Re: Ron
so far it has worked nearly perfectly. i say nearly as i think the bias is a little off. the back wheels tend to lock up before the fronts on my dirt road. i'll probably have to add a proportioning valve. once i fix the pinion nut and get a few more miles on it i'll be able to give you a full assessment. where do you usually stay when you go to Columbus? thank you everyone for the kind words. it has been a labor of love. it is not quite done as i need to fix a couple things in the paint, add the radio and headliner and tweak a few things as i go. i forgot what a dream it is to drive this truck out on the highway. happy new year! Ben PS - thanks again Norm.

116. i wish...
i wish that was my iron gate... some rich dude around the corner from me put this on his hunting club entrance. working on the bugs now... pinion nut is being fixed. probably pull the pan and fix the rear main seal. then i get the fun task of hooking up the power steering and watching it leak... i still can't believe it is almost done. QuoteGordo Congrats Ben. Yes, been watching that labor of love, sure is awesome, and on the road again.!! Certainly one of the most deserving, if not the most deserving truck of the week, since the award was started by Norm. Gordo i am deeply honored to be truck of the week - i think this is the second or third time. it is difficult to include all of the member trucks since there are only 5

if we split hairs the only mention of the High Performance Option is in the 1964 CSS Brochure or on the CSS pages of the later general truck brochures. i tend to call it a HPP as it is a separate and distinct option from the CSS trim package. it is much easier to distinguish them that way but CSS is the catch all in terms of marketing (then and now).
