Uhhh, what? Using Britt's "What would you do" topic; currently showing a total of 142 views which is the sum of the views of the original post plus all of the views of the replies. What are you seeing?

I'll try to answer for Norm. There are a couple of ways to view messages. The default (one message per page with threaded list) is that all replies to a topic are listed in a threaded view with headers only beneath the main message. Simply scroll down to see the list of replies. You do not need to select next message to see the replies. The other option (multiple messages per page) is al

That address goes to Scott Blaylock. He hosts and maintains the Sweptline Registry on his site. I was able to update your record with your new pic following the same procedures that you tried, so I'm not sure what the issue is.

Hey Jerry, Didn't get your email? Scroll down about halfway down the page and you'll see the two picture blocks, data plate and truck picture. Click on the Browse button to select a new picture from your computer, then scroll down and click on the Enter Information button. What truck are you updating?

Yes, you are correct, sorry the announcements were not there earlier. The smiley references in my first post were directed at myself.

"The Truck of The Week belongs to Brett, a very original, Poly powered 1964 D200 which Brett purchased from the original owner. Brett has added tires and wheels, to an otherwise unmolested Sweptline. From the Sweptline Registry." MoparNorm

The current settings only allow registered users to post in the Announcements forum. Soopernaut is not a registered user. Norm, if you want the permission settings can be changed in the admin section.

Oh I misunderstood then. I believe Norm can change ImageEvent to display in page format instead of loading the thumbnails all at once. I also just changed the TOTW pic link to open a large image of the TOTW and changed the caption to the DTA Photo Albums link.

Well, I may have spoken too soon regarding the Registry scripts. I added a new template called DTA Classic Light, but it didn't make much difference in size. -Edit: found the setting to turn off scripts, now the main forum page is 122K with no scripts or images. Trade off is you lose the formatting toolbar, too! Another possibility, what is your setting for Message list display options?

I size the TOTW pic (in the upper left corner) to 320x240 and reduce the JPG quality option to keep the pic size down, the current pic is 20K. I do not include the full-size pic in the body of the post out of consideration for dial-up users. On the other hand, the current size of the MAIN forum page is 280K of which 65K is the forum text headers, 47K is image files including the GIF links at

Way to go Russ! I've been doing the same thing and have it installed in a separate partition. I've been playing with various "flavors" of Linux over the years, the easiest to set up has been Ubuntu. I still have Windows (currently version 7) installed in another partition.

For MoparNorm: "The Trucks of The Week belong to Russ and Jim C. The interloper in the middle is Russ R, our fellow West Coast Sweptliner, on a fact finding mission. My doctor imposed incarceration must be having an effect on me as I notice that any photo with Sweptlines, Trees, and Beer seems to have a pretty good chance of making the TOTW pages..." Wish I could have been there

For MoparNorm: "The Truck of The Week belongs to Doug. The crew has all the stock running gear, an LA318, a NP435 transmission and a NP201 Transfer case, Dana44hd front, 60 rear. I liked this "action" photo, while it doesn't show us much of Doug's Sweptline, this great shot from Twin Rivers does show it in use!"

QuoteMoparNorm In honor of Terry's sharp eyes (or my one, not so sharp eye), Phil has labored all through the night and refreshed the Smiley supply. Well it was either that or work on the new censorship module.
