this is a recent thing. started about 3 weeks ago. now it gets hot regaurdless of what im doing and everytime. just takes it longer to do it on the freeway then it does around town. takes even less time if the a/c is on. the only thing new on it since it has started this BS is the fan clutch, the rest of the parts pre date the problem. i tryed a couple flex fans of different design and had no improovment. so i put the quiet clutch fan back on.
If it didn't have the problem before the fan clutch, and that's the only change, and the problem started after, then...? Sorta points at the fan clutch.
Did you check that lower return hose as I mentioned, to see if it's collapsing? Did you put a new spring in it, or did it come with a new spring?
And yes, plug's heat range can make a huge difference, even up to destroying an engine & melting pistons under extreme conditions.
