Re: cooling system problems...i need some help
only once did it bubble back into the over flow tank. but i had let it sit and idle in the front yard to see if it would "peak" at a temp, but it didnt, it just kept climbing. it was at 240 on the gauge when i shut it off, and that was the only time it bubbled back.
heres where i want an opinion, i have the choice of a 2 core aluminum rad, 1.25" cores, oval shaped with "advanced design" cooling fins. basically they are louvered to control air flow better. or i can get a new design 4 core high efficeincy brass/copper with a 3 pass system. has baffles in top and bottom tank to direct the flow thru the rad. divides it in 3rds so the coolant passes the core 3 times in one cycle. im not sure which would work better. seems the alum is the new rage, but the 3pass copper/brass seems to me to be a better design.
