I know someone who has a 1985 Dodge truck, excellent condition and only 77,000. He wants to trade it in under the cash for clunkers program...noooooooo. Don't do that to a classic like that.

Government inefficiency:
Take perfectly good vehicles off the road, Crush them, over pay for them then NOT limit the new purchase to American badged autos!! WOW!
That like creating a "bust windows across America" program to support the glass industry!! Stupid... just to save 2 mpg is many cases? The havoc it creates on the environment to manufacture a Prius is far worse than driving an old truck for another 8 years.
