Almost ever since I've owned my 1968W200 (since 82), the clutch master cylinder has been finicky. What I mean by this, is if I drive my truck in stop and go traffic where I'm constantly shifting after awhile the clutch pedal will suck up air and get a spongy feeling. I've noticed tha

1. Water doesnt "migrate" in brake fluid. Brake fluid and water mix, unless it is silicone based Dot 5. U can see for yourself - put a bit in a glass jar, add some water, stir, and watch it mix together.
2. Water in fluid does not create fluid compression problems. Water and brake fluid, both being liquid, are equally not compressible.
3. The only difference between the brake and clutch master is the "residual pressure valve" on the brake master. Remove it and it becomes a clutch master. There is no difference in bore or stroke.
4. WTF does "clearancing from age" mean? "clearancing" is not a verb, nor even a word!

1] Heat/cold = condensation. Common in brake lines at wheel cylinder, also possible in clutch slave or lines.

2] Do me a favor and change all your brake fluids to water, please hurry, then drive down from Monitor Pass with a few tons of rocks & your b/s in the bed?

3] Better tell the manufacturers & vendors because they're under the impression there certainly is a difference; that's why there's 2 different part numbers for clutch & brake master.

4] Your chin-dribbling cretin labors under a limited vocabulary and arrested command of the English language aren't my problem.
