None of the sweptline hood hinges had an override feature to allow further opening. I know nothing about TW hinges.
As Russ mentioned the earlier hoods opened to about 90 deg and around 68 it was reduced to about 70 deg. This is all specifically stated in advertising lit. from the period.
Fish, open your hood slowly. Watch the hinge. As soon as the hinge stops moving, note the position of the hood. Does the hood flex/distort beyond that point so that it continues to move toward the cab, while the hinges remain stationary?
