It appears the original factory oil pressure gauge had a rubber hose directly attatched to the block on my 65. Ive been running a aftermarket gauge. To hook the factory gauge up is it as simple as putting a barbed nipple fitting in the block and sending the rubber hose to the gauge? Any problems wi

How was the rubber attatched to the block and gauge? With a small hose clamp?? Was it just pushed on tight?
This rubber hose looks like its been on there for the duration just hanging. It was not attatched but the rubber is very brittle, old, crunchy. Any of you guys still running this type of set up???
