If it were metal, it would further indicate that it was a 69 as only 69 had the metal gauge bezel. Moreover, I have only seen metal on 69's and I have never seen a plastic bezel on a 69 model and I've seen dozens of 69's. I asked for a source before you or anyone else posted a comment. You responded without a source and it left the question. I didn't mean to offend you!! I

Plastic is cheaper to produce than metal. It being better is your opined conclusion. Not all changes are better. Just like going from 8 to 5 lugs was not an improvement. It was however certainly a change and certainly cheaper. Just like going from cast iron t-case covers to aluminum. The latter is not better. Just like going from a free society to socialism is not better.. Change is not always be

If true (no source provided) that means that the metal gauge bezel came standard (default) in 69 with a possible extra money option for cheaper plastic? I find it hard to believe that if a more expensive and more flimsy plastic option was available that many frugal Dodge drivers would spring for it. My original statement stands correct. I said "The 69 had the metal and the 70-71 had the

We've clearly had different experiences with 69's... I've had three 69's all with metal. I recall another friends 69 also with metal. I've only ever noticed plastic on the 70 and 71's. Anyone have a 69 brochure? It would be interesting to see what documentation anyone can come up with. I was only trying to help determine if John's rig had other signs of bein

Perhaps it's a 70 grill. I think 70 and 71 are the same... just as 68 and 69 grills are the same. My 69 has a 70-71 grill too... but that was intentional!! What does your gauge cluster look like? Is it plastic or metal? The 69 had the metal and the 70-71 had the plastic...

A smaller community requires a more intimate forum. If we had thousands of users all logging on at the same time and posting zillions of threads then separate categories to post would make sense. The attraction of this forum is the small town feel. We start losing that when we add sections prematurely.

I just give them the URL: then tell them to click on "forum". As an example, SweptyGirl told that she was having trouble logging on and registering and that her user/pass did not work. I thought she was doing something wrong. She came by my house today and tried from my computer too and still no luck!! My friend in Massachusetts tried registering and could not log on as well. The

I'm gonna try installing inter locking mounts next weekend. I wasn't sure if anyone else had this problem and what mounts they used.

I noticed that too about the 71 tailgate but then I thought perhaps some 70's might have the non embossed tailgate. The owner went out of his way to disclose the replacement front bumper and did not mention the tailgate. It might have been replaced early on with whatever was on hand at the bodyshop? The rust certainly matches the rest of the truck... no offense! I would think cab mounts a

I noticed a broken motor mount on the passenger side of my W200. I have a 318 Poly under there. I've been told that Mopar motor mounts really suck and I should consider either polyurethane or interlocking mounts. I think I prefer the interlockers as the polyurethane might make it vibrate too much. Any thoughts? Does anyone know where I can get interlocking mounts? Thanks!!

That was more like cement than mud. I'm on the back with the green hat trying to weigh Rob's duallies down!! I made it through with my 69 W200 but it was perhaps an hour earlier before the mud started drying I think.
