I'm getting close to firing up an A318 Poly that I put in my '68 D100. As I'm using a '70 cab, I'm also then using the later wiring harness. The alternator is original equipment to the Poly ['66 vintage] and is a single field. My wiring has what I'm assuming to be

When u scrounge the spade plug off a 2 wire alt, u will see the insulative washers that go on it.
btw, that's why it is called an "isolated field alternator", because both ends of the field winding are isolated, (insulated), from ground.
