It's been running like that just fine, I just thought the charging seemed awfully good, wouldn't want it to overcharge...
I use an old Everett WA (USA ;-) Fluke 23, have two of them. I sear by those meters, bought one of them when I started Automotive in '88. Boy I tell ya, I was king you know what with that meter in our electronics class ;-)
We actually rebuilt Chrysler starters and Alternators in that class, the instructor drove a mid 60's F100, but he had very high regard for Chrysler stuff. Within a year of my going through the program, they quit teaching rebuilding, since "it just wasn't done anymore"
Times, they were a changin... even then.
