Well, seems the common thread here with parts problems is NAPA! My first swept was a 70 I purchased in 78. Ive bought countless alts for it and others over the yrs. I have NEVER gotten the wrong unit. But I also NEVER shop at NAPA. Ive always used 2 local, independant, parts stores that give discount prices and have old guy countermen that use the books. 1 was bought by Carquest in the 90's and still gives the same service. The other is still local and there are 2 guys still working there that Ive known since the early 80's. Sad thing here is that a 3rd local shop was bought by NAPA in the 80's so the pricing is brutal. They are however, the only local parts store that still has the books setup directly behind the counter. Its one helluva a resource and a thing of beauty to behold, especially seeing it get used almost every time Im in there. It is a U shaped bookshelf, 3 shelves high from the floor, about 30' end to end, 90' total, totally packed full with parts books!
