Regarding the oil in combustion chamber: if you or anyone before you ran the engine on Penzoil there's a very good chance the oil drainbacks in heads are clogged up. These are holes, one in each lower outer corner of heads looking down from the top. The oil can pump up to feed rocker assembly, but then pools up because it can't drain back down, causing oil to leak down valve guides. A gun brush or stiff wire may be used to clean them out, allowing oil to flow again. Then run premium crude oil base stocks instead of Penzoil parrafin base junk.
I thought mine needed a rebuild due to smoke, fouled plugs, poor performance and uneven running. After cleaning oil drainbacks it was like a new engine and gave me well over 150,000 more miles before getting tired and needing work.
