Keep in mind the list I posted comes from the Dodge Truck FSM, so all of those options were found in trucks, the cars had their own book and I'm not sure how they vary, because I have not seen a FSM for the cars.
norm..if you have never seen the specs on a car, then how can you stick to the claim that the addition of a 4bbl is good for 60 more hp? trucks never had a 4bbl on a poly, only the cars did. so there is no reference for the claim of 60hp by just adding a 4bbl. without knowing the cam specs on the hydrolic cam CAR motor, as well as compression ratio and valve size you cant claim that putting a 4bbl on a truck poly is all you need to get 60hp extra. assuming that the 318-1 rating on the truck specs are the same as what would be a 318-1 on a car seems to be a highly unlikely possibility.
68 fish, you can get more performance simply because the 2bbl does not give all the poly can take. i have seen nice performance increases from a 500 eddy with no other work done. of course add electronic ignition, and a nice flowing exhaust and it gets better.
